It has become a tradition by now, I think, that we spend the Wednesday nearest Midsummer at the Queen's Head. We were joined, as ever, by Bakanalia Border Morris and New St George Morris, and also by one member of Rutland Morris. There were some people watching, but this is really a selfish evening for ourselves - it is always very good to watch other sides. You may see dances that you yourselves do, as well as seeing the unfamiliar.

The Star, Geddington
David West, one of our members, sadly passed away last week
after an illness borne with great optimism.
We have missed his presence for some time, and will continue to do so,
and will miss being able to share in his great knowledge of all sorts of
things.
It was David, who I already knew, who told me I would enjoy Morris
if I came along and took me along with him. And he was right.
We felt tonight that there were two dances that we
particularly associated with David. So
we began our evening at Geddington with one, Vandals of Hammerwich, and ended
with the other, Skirmish, just in time for it to rain.
The photos show us dancing Skirmish. It also seems appropriate to note that the street across the road from the Eleanor Cross is called West St.
